CES Booth Staffing Guide for Las Vegas Exhibitors

CES is one of the most demanding staffing environments in Las Vegas. Exhibitors are not only staffing a booth; they are navigating multiple venues, media schedules, investor meetings, demo traffic, shuttle routes, hotel corridors, and long winter show days.

CES 2027 is scheduled for January 6-9, 2027 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Official CES materials place the show across major campuses including the Las Vegas Convention Center, The Venetian Expo, and C Space at ARIA, with transportation connecting LVCC, Venetian Expo, official hotels, ARIA, and other show destinations.

For a CES exhibitor, staffing is a local logistics problem as much as a talent problem. The right trade show models Las Vegas team needs to know the difference between LVCC West Hall, Central Hall, South Hall, Venetian Expo, Venetian hotel, ARIA, Vdara, Cosmopolitan, Park MGM, shuttle stops, rideshare zones, Monorail stations, and hotel meeting locations. Use this guide with our Las Vegas trade show models page when planning a CES booth team.

Use this guide with Trade Show Models Las Vegas and Las Vegas Convention Center Booth Staffing Guide so the staffing decision, workflow, and measurement plan reinforce each other.

At CES, the staffing plan should be written like an operations plan: exact venue, exact hall, exact role, exact handoff, exact transportation backup.

Know the CES Campus Before Assigning Staff

CES is spread across multiple Las Vegas venues rather than one simple exhibit hall. LVCC handles major exhibit-floor traffic across West, Central, North, and South areas. Venetian Expo supports major exhibits, suites, and resort-based meetings. C Space at ARIA serves advertising, entertainment, content, and media decision-makers, with the C Space campus including ARIA, Vdara, Cosmopolitan, and Park MGM.

That footprint changes how booth staff should be briefed. A staff assignment that says 'CES' is incomplete. The brief should say LVCC West Hall, Venetian Expo, ARIA, a hospitality suite, a registration zone, a private meeting room, or a sponsor activation. It should also include the closest entrance, badge pickup, shuttle route, rideshare point, team lead, and client contact.

  • LVCC: best for large exhibit traffic, product demos, press interest, and high-volume aisle conversations.
  • Venetian Expo: important for expo halls, Venetian/Palazzo routes, suites, and Sands Avenue movement.
  • ARIA and C Space: more meeting-driven, with advertising, media, entertainment, brand, and content decision-makers.
  • Hotel suites: need host, check-in, VIP routing, and appointment discipline more than pure aisle engagement.

CES Transportation, Shuttles, Monorail, and Rideshare

CES transportation rules matter because late staff can damage the first hour of a booth. The official CES transportation guide lists complimentary hotel shuttles to and from LVCC and Venetian Expo, a Tech Express between LVCC and Venetian Expo, and a C Space Shuttle route to ARIA from LVCC and Venetian Expo. It also notes that the Tech Express boards at LVCC Central Plaza near the Monorail walkway and at Venetian Expo along Sands Avenue.

The Monorail connects LVCC and Westgate with Strip stations including Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo, Harrah's/LINQ, MGM Grand, and Sahara, but CES notes that the Monorail does not service Venetian Expo. That distinction belongs in every CES staffing brief. If staff are assigned to Venetian Expo, do not assume the Monorail gets them to the door; plan the Tech Express, hotel shuttle, rideshare, or walking route.

  • LVCC rideshare: CES lists pickup outside South Hall between the bronze lot and Renaissance or in Diamond Lot next to West Hall.
  • Venetian Expo rideshare: CES lists the main porte-cochere on Sands Avenue.
  • ARIA rideshare: CES lists the lower level of the North Valet Lobby.
  • Parking: CES states there is no public parking at LVCC or Venetian Expo during the show.

LVCC Staffing Notes for CES

LVCC is the heart of CES booth traffic. West Hall, Central Hall, North Hall, South Hall, the Loop stations, shuttle curbs, taxi areas, and Monorail approaches all create different arrival paths. Staff should be told exactly which hall and entrance to use and whether they should arrive by hotel shuttle, Monorail, Vegas Loop, rideshare, or walking from a nearby hotel.

For exhibitors, LVCC roles should usually be separated. Put the most polished opener at the booth edge. Put a trained qualifier on the first real question. Keep product specialists focused on demos. Assign a scanner or lead-capture person when traffic is heavy. For larger booths, a team lead should manage breaks, wardrobe, no-shows, meal timing, lead-device issues, and client updates.

Venetian Expo and Sands Avenue Staffing Notes

The Venetian Expo brings CES into the Sands Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard corridor. Staff may arrive from Venetian or Palazzo towers, the casino, Restaurant Row, Grand Canal Shoppes, parking, Sands Avenue rideshare, or the Tech Express. The Venetian Expo itself includes large halls, while the resort adds restaurants, suites, retail, nightlife, and buyer meetings within the same property network.

CES exhibitors at Venetian Expo should brief staff on hall, level, booth number, badge pickup, and whether any qualified visitors should be routed to a suite, dinner, sponsor lounge, or hotel meeting. If a buyer leaves the booth for a Venetian/Palazzo meeting, the staffer should know whether to escort, direct, scan first, or hand off to the client team.

ARIA, C Space, and Meeting-Driven Staffing

CES describes C Space as the gathering point for advertising, entertainment, content, brands, media platforms, and creators. Unlike a traditional product hall, ARIA may be more meeting-driven, with relationship development, hosted programming, and partnership conversations carrying more weight than raw booth scans.

ARIA's meeting facilities sit at 3730 South Las Vegas Boulevard and MGM describes roughly 500,000 square feet of meeting space. Staff working C Space should be selected for polish, discretion, check-in flow, VIP routing, appointment discipline, and the ability to recognize when a conversation should move to a senior client contact.

January Weather, Wardrobe, and Staff Endurance

CES happens in January, but Las Vegas still creates wardrobe and endurance issues. The National Weather Service describes Las Vegas as a desert valley with abundant sunshine, low humidity, seasonal temperature swings, and colder winter nights than many visitors expect. Staff may leave a warm hotel, wait outside for rideshare, board a shuttle, walk long resort corridors, then stand under show-floor lighting for eight or more hours.

A CES wardrobe plan should cover professional shoes, layers, water, badge lanyards, emergency contact cards, backup tops, device chargers, and a place to store personal items. If a staffer is working both an indoor booth and an evening hospitality event, the schedule should allow an appearance reset before the second assignment.

Recommended CES Booth Roles

CES usually needs more structure than smaller shows. A lean booth may need one trade show model or polished host, one brand ambassador or qualifier, and one client product expert. A larger CES booth should separate aisle engagement, qualification, demo support, lead capture, VIP routing, meeting scheduling, and team lead responsibilities.

The staff should not be asked to invent technical claims. Give them approved openers, disqualifiers, transition lines, demo triggers, lead fields, and escalation rules. CES buyers include media, investors, engineers, purchasing teams, founders, distributors, retailers, and competitors. The team needs to know who matters and what the next step is.

  • Trade show model: creates booth visibility and starts high-quality attendee conversations.
  • Brand ambassador: delivers approved messaging and qualifies visitor fit.
  • Product demonstrator: runs the demo or supports a client expert without creating technical risk.
  • Meeting host: routes investors, press, VIPs, partners, and booked appointments.
  • Team lead: keeps the staffing operation intact across venues, shifts, breaks, and backups.

What to Put in the CES Staff Brief

The CES brief should include the venue, hall, booth, closest entrance, badge pickup, shuttle route, rideshare point, call time, paid hours, wardrobe, shoes, approved claims, demo rules, lead-capture process, qualification questions, meeting-routing rules, lunch and break plan, client contact, agency lead, emergency number, and daily reporting format.

Then write the handoff rules. Which visitors get scanned? Which are invited to a demo? Which go to sales? Which go to press? Which should be routed to ARIA, Venetian, a suite, a dinner, or a meeting room? CES creates traffic, but traffic only becomes value when staff know exactly how to convert attention into a clean next step.
